This circuitry increases volume of all incoming sound.
Minor adjustments can be made in the circuitry through potentiometers
that the audiologist will adjust specific to your hearing loss. Analog
circuitry is controlled by a user activated volume control that creates
some difficulty in modulating sound in noisy environments. Individuals
tend to keep the hearing aids turned down low so that the loud sounds
are not too loud, but then softer sounds are not loud enough. This
circuitry cannot be adjusted based on an individual's specific listening
need or changes in their hearing loss. |
